Open Book (mt.1936) consists of two peaks: Mount Belvedere of 1896 metres and Monte Rotondo of 1937 metres. These two mountains surround two flat enliven the famous "pages" Open Book. The vegetation of the surrounding area is characterised by a rich alpine flora, from white spruce forests, mugo pine trees and plants of blueberry black. In the distance you can see the Nature Reserve of Campolino. One of the most popular features of the area of Open Book, is the presence of a colony of rhododendrons, which usually bloom in July and are considered protected species. Regarding the rocks are to report the presence of colored sassifraga, semprevivo and genzianella.
